MJR Development: Lakeview Place


	Lakeview Place Lakeview Place Office Building is a 23,000 square foot class “A” office building located adjacent to Interstate 405 in Kirkland. Its excellent location bordering the 70th street exit allows easy access to and from Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland. The two-story wood and concrete building is constructed over a parking garage and has a stucco and glass exterior. The high level finishes in the lobby and common areas include slate accents. 	Challenges/Results Built on a tight site, Lakeview Place required that the design be very efficient and creative. Also, because the area around Lakeview Place is primarily residential, MJR Development had to design a building that would be attractive to the surrounding neighborhoods, the city, and tenants. The permit process proved to be difficult and required extensive work with the local neighborhood associations that had resisted development for over ten years. On top of these obstacles, Lakeview Place had a fast construction schedule and needed to be completed quickly. It is currently leased to multiple tenants.
