Michael J. Raskin
Partner and Founder
Mike’s love of buildings began in his youth. For several years after college, he managed construction in the Seattle area and worked in marketing for Kidder Matthews. Mike then worked at Union Bank of Switzerland in New York in their real estate finance department. After moving back to Seattle, he worked in development for the Pacific Development Company before founding MJR Development in 1991.
Mike received his BS in Construction Management from the University of Washington and went on to get his MBA at Columbia University.
When he’s not in the office or on his ever-ringing cell phone, Mike enjoys windsurfing and skiing (though not in the same climate). Mike also loves hiking and thinks playing golf is great (though he claims to be a terrible golfer). His favorite movie is Casablanca, which he'd prefer to watch with a bowl of coffee ice cream.
